Rafiq, a 17 years old young student who always who joins his classes five to ten minutes delaying.He often bunks classes, his dresses are messy, his haircut is rough and his behaviour is not upto the mark.

It’s almost a common scenario of most of the institutions that there might have some students like Rafiq who messes up everything and can’t lead a balanced life because they aren’t self-diciplined.

For instance, it keeps an individual patient in every difficult situation. It teaches us to control our anger and temptation for greater interest. It teaches to be focused towards goal and it motivates and inspires towards achieving big goals. It also pushes anyone to do high quality work with harder effort even though the particular individual don’t like it. Besides, studies has reported that self-disciplined persons always remains active, their academic performances are better than others, their health remains sound and due to lack of stress they can always remain happy.In a simple sentence, they can lead a balanced life.

Some Useful Tips for Developing and Maintaining Self-discipline

It’s easy and simple to maintain self-discipline. Here are some useful suggestions which I found beneficial to maintain self-discipline.

1. Early to bed, early to rise

Almost everyone is familiar with an ancient english proverb, “Early to bed and early to rise makes and man healthy, wealthy and wise.”

If you can rise early, it will be easier for you to do things in the right time with a fresh mind and early sleep will ensure the enough rest for your brain. And that’s how you can lead a balanced and disciplined life.

2. Make a routine

Take a notebook and make a list of your important activities what you needed to be fulfilled.Then take alarms and set reminders for your tasks. If you can maintain a healthy routine, you can make your life way more disciplined than others.

3. Focus on your goal

Control your thoughts and concentrate on your goals. Be focused towards your daily tasks. Keep forwarding step by step.

Make sure that the goal you set is SMART – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This will really help you to achieve your goals in a well disciplined matter.

4. Take challenge

Taking hard challenges, rushing on it conquering adversities will automatically constrain you towards self-discipline.

5. Making easy habits

Every big things starts from easy attempts. If you form easy habits that will constantly lead you towards big one. Making easy habits and adding more frequently would make your life much easier and disciplined.

Try to maintain these simple and easy habits. The postive outcome would automatically come either today or tomorrow.
