Tobacco smoking is the practice of burning tobacco and ingesting the smoke that is produced .The harmful smoke may be inhaled which is done by cigarettes ,yaba etc or simply released by mouth. It has been rapidly spread by all over the world. People usually take upon smoke for different kind of reasons like stress relief ,pleasure, curiosity ,depression or social situations .Many people smoke because it’s a way they’ve learned to cope with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, negative moods, and the stress of daily life. There are no ways to deal with emotions to them without smoking. That is why ,day by day people are getting into it.
No matter how to smoke it, tobacco is dangerous to our health. There are no safe substance in any tobacco products. These substance we inhale don’t just affect our lungs ,they can affect the whole metabolism system of our body. One of the ingredients in tobacco is a mood-altering drug called Nicotine. It is extremely habit forming , which is why people find smoking so difficult to quit. When people don’t smoke, they may have withdrawal symptoms. That’s because their bodies have to get used to not having Nicotine. withdrawal symptoms may include:
- Feeling down or sad
- Having trouble sleeping
- Feeling irritable‚ on edge‚ grouchy
- Having trouble thinking clearly and concentrating
- Feeling restless and jumpy
- Slower heart rate
- Feeling more hungry or gaining weight
It can become connected to other activities of your day-to-day life—like watching TV, talking on the phone, hanging out with friends, going certain places, or taking a break to relax. Then smoking becomes a part of a pattern or routine.
Thus, our young generation are also getting attracted towards smoking. They take up the habit of smoking from adults. Adolescene is such a period when a person starts to think naturally and took preparation for adulthood. So ,they are getting involved with bad company for a lack of proper education and motivation. They just got influenced by the smokers.
So, lighting up a peaceful nation, we have to leave such kind of bad company . Firstly, we have to take proper education and to know the bad sides of it so that we can motivate our juniors.
I have a message to the people those are trying to leave this bad habit.
- Do not smoke at all.
- Stay busy.
- Begin use of your NRT if you have chosen to use one.
- Attend a stop-smoking group or follow a self-help plan.
- Drink more water and juice.
- Drink less or no alcohol.
- Avoid individuals who are smoking.
- Avoid situations wherein you have a strong urge to smoke.
We have to take some steps against this type of bad company . All the tobacco industries should be banned by the government and they should take necessary steps against it. we should come forward to maintain and metarialize this law by the people. We should always remember that
” Your are always better off if you quit smoking, it’s never too late “
